You are going to study in a college in the UK next year. You would like to stay in a college Hall of Residence.

Write a letter to the college giving your accommodation requirements. You should outline what your room and food needs are. Also ask what alternatives are available if they cannot provide what you want.

• You should write at least 150 words.

• You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.

• You do NOT need to write your own address.

Dear Sir / Madam,

I am glad that I have been admitted into your esteemed college to pursue my MBA next year. I was browsing your website and found that students can apply for accommodation at Hall of Residence at a subsidized cost. Hence, I am writing to furnish my requirements and enquire about the any suitable accommodation for my stay.

I have always lived with some privacy and will be glad to know if you have a single-bedroom flat with an attached toilet and a living room. I also like to cook my own food, due to health issues and it will be great if you could update me on the available kitchen facilities. If this is not a viable option, then I would be interested to know the types of food served in the cafeteria as I should be eating only vegetarian food along with some fruits everyday.

I will be grateful if you could send me the availability of the above accommodation details. However, if the aforesaid requirements are unavailable due to certain circumstances, may I request you to send me a list of alternate accommodation facilities that are still available, along with their tariff plan?

Thank you for your time and effort and I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours sincerely,

Suresh
