Schools are not only a place where pupils can come to learn knowledge but also a place where they can make friends and have social interactions. Some might argue only pupils of similar interests should be given admission in schools. However, it is strongly believed that all children with varied interests should be able to go to schools. Below are a few reasons that support the idea.

First and foremost, it is a very cruel discrimination against children whose interests belong to a minor group. For example, there are many children who want to become doctors, lawyers or professionals in any other high-profile occupations. However, there are also many children who want to become farmers. It is unacceptable that those children are not given admissions to the same schools as their friends just because their interests are different.

Secondly, children’s interests vary according to age. Statistically, it is proven that children change their interests and their behaviours when they grow older. Hence, it is an unstable measurement that children are given admissions based on their shared interests.

Finally, there is no clear method to identify children’s interests. Many children have many different interests. Furthermore, it seems to be impossible to find out all interests that a child has got except his parents who have got enough time to look after and to understand about him. Hence, if children were given admissions to schools based on their interests, there would not be enough school staff to learn deeply about them before giving admissions.

In a nut shell, it is strongly disagreed that children should be given admissions based on their interests since it is a very cruel discrimination. Besides that, it is not possible to find out all interests of a child which can vary from age to age.
