Educating traditional courses such as science are occupying more time in schools, while others prefer focusing on technique that students can use in their future career. From my point of view, learning knowledge in tradition should prior to acquiring skills.

Instructing technical skills are more useful in students’ later job. Being taught to handle technology used in the workplace, students can adapt their practice from school into their prospected career. For instance, student can effectively learn to be an accountant by experiencing a computer accounting program. However, students might not be able to keep their technique in use due to the rapid enhancement of technology in this era.

Teaching conventional courses can undergraduates understand the principle in a specific area. As traditional subjects educate undergraduates on the basic knowledge, the principle of that domain. Students can make changes on using different system by using the concept learnt in the course. As a result, students are more adaptive to the forever-changing world.

In addition, taking examination for traditional courses are still required by tertiary education. Undergraduate might not have a clear thought on their future and they might follow the choice of friends or classmate. When they find out the sector of skills they chose is not what they are actually interested in, they might drop out from school. While, even they picked a wrong subject in tradition, they can still have a chance to move to different paths in university or college.

In conclusion, it is crucial to have both knowledge and technique in students’ life. Nevertheless, fundamental concepts in conventional courses should be taught before knowing how to make use of the realistic technique so to let undergraduates become more accommodative.
