Many people say that the only way to guarantee getting a good job is to complete a course of university education. Others claim that it is better to start work after school and gain experience in the world of work.
How far do you agree or disagree with the above views?
Ability to find a well-paid job has been considered the focus of education nowsaday, especially when the competition is so fierce and unemployment is rising. It is a controversial idea to whether an individual should immediately start work after school to obtain experience or further their study into university for higher degree. I believe real-life knowledge overweights a certificate in many circumstances.
The principle reason why people pursue university education is to achieve a higher qualification that may assist them in getting a better job entry. This is because corporations, in this current era, are interested in hiring employees with specific criteria and knowledge so as to gain confidence in potential productivity as well as save training time. On the opposite side, since students are limited to exposure to real-life experiences, it is the truth that many high distinction graduates are struggling for a job no matter which entry level they are willing to start with.
It is pragmatic to consider the job situations and requirements to decide whether qualifications or experience is in the ascendancy over the other. There are many employers who prefer to have experienced workers because they believe knowledge through practice is more vital. Although these apprentices may have a lower start and slower progress, by the same time the others finish their degrees, they are already possessing a certain savings and world of knowledge from work environment. Not only does that put these workers ahead work-wise, but they certainly can continue with their jobs while heading back to university for further study.
My conclusion is that both options have their advantages and disadvantages that individuals need to carefully contemplate in order to make suitable decisions though I personally favor experience in this case.
