Working from an early age has become popular in modern society. Particularly, children are being hired in many countries worldwide. Advocates of this contend that children understand the importance of being responsible in life thanks to a work experience, whilst detractors assert that it is a mistake.

For my part, Not only should children learn to be responsible, but they may also value money. Furthermore they may be aware of the efforts involved in earning money.

To begin with, being responsible for their actions is an important lesson that children have to learn. Children working in a paid work can see how real world works. This means, a world where people have obligations that they have to fulfill. Shirking duties surely has adverse consequences, hence, children can live this kind of situations in the workplace.

On the other hand, it is not straightforward to make a living. Most people have to struggle to get a well-paid job and develop a professional career. Living a work experience is vital for children with the purpose of appreciating the value of money and primarily, the value of people's efforts.

It is relevant to mention that having a job at an early age is positive as long as children do not show underachievement at school.

To sum up, although some believe that children should not work, certainly, children may benefit from a work experience. There are not significant drawbacks to think that it is a terrible idea.
