The media coverage of celebrities is increasing extensively. The arugment between the media coverage of celebrities will have a positive effect or negative effect has not been settled yet. Although the children can learn more about the celebrities and people, there are two bad influence caused by the celebrities and the presses.

First, people believed that the media coverage of celebrities can let the children understand the celebrities, or even the real world. They have to learnt that every celebrities are only the normal people when the children see them in real world rather than in television shows. In addition, celebrities will become famous due to different reasons, children can have a lesson about becoming a celebrities.

On the other hand, the increasing media coverage of the celebrities will impact the children. Children may learn the bad habits that the celebrites have such as taking drugs and they might be influenced and following what the celebrites did when the children see them. Children do not have adequate thinking to think about whether the celebrities are doing something that is harmful.

Also, the increasing media coverage of the celebrities will encourage children to discover the privacy of people. Some presses often try to expose every detail of the personal life of the celebrities. It usually will be offensive and this behaviour should not be encouraged. If the children read and see this regularly, they will believe that there are nothing wrong to invade someone’s privacy.

To sum up, although children can learn about the celebrities by increasing media coverage of them, the drawbacks are also significant for their development.
