Different countries have different set of rules for their people and children are no exception. Some nations impose lot of restrictions on young people whereas some other let them do whatever they wish to do. I firmly believe that there should be a few set of rules that tells what children can do and what not to do in order to mould them as tomorrow’s responsible citizens.

Children are very sensitive and they get attracted easily because what they see or hear makes a lot of impact on them and they always tries to imitate the same. For example, we see lot of kids dance like dancing stars and show fight movements from their favourite cartoon character. They are unaware of the consequences. There are also cases where children jump off the buildings assuming they can fly like super-man or spider-man. So, imposing rules on what they should watch or where they should go is worth of it.

Moreover, if the young people are allowed to do anything they want, some may take this as advantage to do anti-social activities. For example, if a child is caught shop lifting, and been set-free as the rule doesn’t want children to punish, he may take this as granted and repeat the same whenever he wants. Bu if the same child is given a penalty for doing crime, that definitely discourages him to do it again.

Furthermore, children who grew up in the free-to-do-anything environment are more vulnerable of becoming anti-social elements in the society. For example, an orphan in the streets is more likely to do wrong things than a child being in the control of educated parents. Being free to do whatever they want is like being an orphan.

To conclude, there should be some rules and regulations to control the children without spoiling their freedom. These rules will make them evolve as a responsible citizens creating a healthy environment in the society.
