The issue of capital punishment is one of the most discussed topics around the world. Though ,the notion of ‘sentence to death ‘might seem a little cruel, I personally agree with it. Let us analyse some facts carefully.

To begin with, punishment modalities that exclude death penalty have not seemed effective in controlling crime rates .In majority of the cases, culprit takes it granted and tries to escape through the loop holes of the law .Sometimes ,they are even spared from a small bail and commit same mistakes again and again confidently.

As a matter of fact, some countries, though provided with clauses on capital punishment, hesitate to make use of them .For example, my country ,many old murder cases are still running in the judicial court and waiting for an appropriate punishment to the culprit. Moreover , this trend may attract youth to indulge in antisocial activities in order to earn a huge buck within a short period. This would definitely lead to a disharmony in in the society by taking away the peace of the public.

On the contrary, punishment is something which is imposed forcefully on an individual for his wrong act. The underlying idea is to make the person aware of his faults and de motivate him from doing it again. Capital punishment blows this concept in to the air as the person is not provide with an opportunity to correct himself.

At the end of the day, would like to draw my conclusion that death penalty should be implemented in cases of extreme violence, holocaust ,terrorism etc. Arabian countries are an excellent example .they have brought down the crime rate by implementing capital punishment.
