Should wealthy nations be required to share their wealth among poorer nations by providing such things as food and education? Or is it the responsibility of the governments of poorer nations to look after their citizens themselves?

The differences in lifestile between developed countries and not developed ones is still great. In poorer nations many essential stuffs are missing and some people hold the opinion that wealthiest countries should be required to help those nations, while others disagree.

In particular, those persons who state that poor populations should be in charge of their own governments support their idea saying that helping out poorer nations too much would harm them even more. Infact, even if richest nations would provide them food, money, education, etc, for some years, in the end they wouldn't ever be able to produce them by themselves and will continue being poor and relying on other nations instead of developing.

Neverthless, what about supporting them with a long lasting project? For example, if poorer nations would receive for a long period machines and knowledge of tecnology as well as food and primary education, they could be able to develop their own educational system and food industry. Of course provide them with necessary things won't be enough alone but a project of development would help them learning how to grow richer by themselfs.

In short, I support the idea that wealthy nations should support poorer ones with such things as food and education but that they should also be required to do that during all the development process.
