What laws, if any, should control advertising? Why?

Governments should make laws that prohibit bad advertisement from giving incorrect information to the consumer. This is essential since consumers have the right to know the real information about the products or services they are going to buy. Hence, to make sure all the advertisements give the correct information, the government should be aware of what's going on and to decide whether the advertisement is a valid one or it should be prohibited for the sake of the consumer.
