Common English Error - Looking Forward To V-ing

Created Date: Fri 12 Aug 2011

Note:

I am looking forward to meeting you
OR
I am looking forward to meet you
This is a very common mistake and we should avoid in IELTS writing exams or any other types of exams.

Answer:
Looking forward to + V-ing
It must be followed by a gerund or a noun. For IELTS Writing Task 1 (General Module), we can put this composition at the end. For example, we can say "I'm looking forward to your replies".
From the example, you can see that we've just used a noun phrase "your replies" after "looking forward to"
